THE MEGA-GALLERY HAS ITS OWN QUARTERLY ART PUBLICATION. WHAT WILL IT GET YOU, YOU ASK? WELL, ACCORDING TO THE MAGAZINE’S DESCRIPTION, “IN DEPTH FEATURES COVERING RECENT AND UPCOMING GALLERY EXHIBITIONS AND PROJECTS, AS WELL AS INFORMATION ON INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM SHOWS AND ART WORLD EVENTS”.
The idea behind The Quarterly’s Summer issue was to focus on familiar subjects through an unexpected lens – to reveal intriguing new aspects of artists and artworks we thought we knew inside and out. We revel in Pablo Picasso’s emotionally fraught alter ego, the Minotaur. We probe Henri Matisse’s powerful and pervasive influence on Tom Wesselman. We revisit the sculptures of Alberto Giacometti through the eye of photographer Peter Lindbergh. We visit Giuseppe Penone in his studio in the midst of rethinking and reinventing the traditional artist monograph. And much, much more!
